Credentialing

Earning the ACSDD Fellow and/or Diplomate credential is a profound honor.  Each credential is designed to give the ACSDD member-dentist the recognition he or she has earned and deserves at his or her current level of dental sleep medicine expertise.

The process involved in earning each of these two credentials is rigorous, and the member-dentist is invited to make the application decision as to where he or she belongs by reviewing the application requirements of both.

The rigorous standards of an ACSDD credential to a member-dentist cannot be overemphasized.  The ACSDD Fellow and Diplomate processes reflect the necessary education in the context of the multidisciplinary paradigm espoused by the Academy, including requirements in TMD and sleep science.

Passing the Fellow and/or Diplomate certification examinations represents a more-than-acceptable level of education and training that assures the dental sleep medicine community and the member-dentists’ sleep disordered breathing patients quality care.
