Why should you attend? The Research Literature on Oral Appliance Therapy (Chan and Cistulli, 2009) answers that question.
- OAT is an important option to provide to your patients who have apnea
- Compared to CPAP, OAT can be more easily adhered to, better tolerated,
equally affordable
- OAT can be a valuable revenue stream in your practice
- As a dentist seeing patients at least twice yearly, you are perfectly positioned to identify and treat sleep apnea in your patients
You will learn from the inventors / experts of some of the most prominent oral appliances currently available. Learn about each appliance’s pros and cons, study the research, and take part in the clinical discussions around each appliance.

Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran in Dental Sleep Medicine, the ACSDD 2012 Spring Conference is a unique learning opportunity and will provide you with cutting-edge information in a setting full of sun and fun.

| Our Welcome Speaker:
We are extremely pleased and honored to announce that our Welcome Speaker will be Diane Enos, President, Salt River Pima – Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC).
The SRPMIC, a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, operates as a full-service government and oversees departments, programs, projects, and facilities. The SRPMIC owns and operates several successful enterprises, including Talking Stick Resort & Casino. The Community Council — comprised of the President, Vice President, and seven elected Council members – governs the Community.
With two distinct backgrounds and cultures, the Community is comprised of two Native American tribes: the Pima, “Akimel O’Odham” (River People) and the Maricopa, “Xalychidom Piipaash” (People who live toward the water). Today, more than 8,700 individuals are enrolled tribal members.
President Enos, a lawyer and artist, is dedicated to promoting education for the Salt River Pima – Maricopa people and to creating new opportunities for traditional O’odham (Pima) and Piipaash (Maricopa) life to flourish within the Community. |
