Pregnancy, Fetal Health, and Sleep Disorders
Dr. Pandya is currently a fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI. He will join Sleep Medicine fellowship at Stanford University starting July 2010. He is a medical graduate from India and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland, OH. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases.
Throughout his residency and fellowship, he has been involved in research related to the field of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Pandya has publications to his credit. He has presented his research in oral as well as poster presentations at international meetings including American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), American Thoracic Society (ATS) and Sleep conferences. His special interests include the relationship between medical disorders and sleep as well as positive airway pressure therapy in patients with obstructive sleep apnea. He plans to develop a career that involves research and education in sleep medicine along with clinical practice.
Dr. Pandya enjoys singing, playing guitar, tennis and spending time with his family and friends. His wife Sima is a Podiatrist and they are proud parents of twins born in 2008.
